I wanted to show off a few more items that I have made recently… Soon to be added to this list are Simon’s quilt and diaper bag. They are both nearly ready… just in time.

This was an Itty Bitty Baby Dress that I made for Madelyn. It was indeed an itty-bitty dress. I think it may have been too small for her to wear. Oh, well, it will make a sweet dolly dress later on.
Here are the kitchen curtains, finally hung. The one on the left is hiding a gaping cabinet hole where a previous tenant apparently ripped off the door – niiice.
Detail of the scalloped hem of the curtain and pleated ribbon.
OK. So, it has been a while since we last posted. Everything is moving along pretty quickly around here towards the arrival of baby brother. I feel like we are getting buckled up in a roller coaster and ratcheting up that first hill. Here we goooooo….
A few weekends ago, we went to St. Augustine to the beach:

See how looong Aurelia’s hair is getting? The curls are deceiving.
And, here are the matching shirts that I made us. We wore them to the beach, but Aurie hasn’t worn her since. Apparently “Cinderella doesn’t wear pants,” so it has been probably 2 or 3 weeks since Aurelia has worn shorts and a top. I should have made hers a dress – bummer. Also, note the watermelon that I’m smuggling under my shirt. Oh, that’s baby Simon in there. He looks like he is about to launch on out any time, and we are nearly ready for him to come. Wait until Daddy gets through his trials next week, please!
In case it wasn’t clear, since we have a new baby on the way, we have two new blogs. Simon Augustus gets his own website at www.simonaugustus.com. Both Aurelia and Simon’s blog posts will be combined into one blog that will contain blogposts from the existing blog plus any posts that are more family centric at www.ourlittleemperors.com. Both blogs are in a presentable format now. Enjoy!
Aurelia is doing great, but the way. She is making great progress with potty training – finally!! Tonight, she was telling someone at church that she couldn’t wait to see baby brother and take him to school to show him to her friends. I said we could probably swing that after a few weeks. It is amazing how curious her little friends are. One little girl tries to look under my shirt every time I see her – as if the baby would be visible if not for the shirt covering him :). Some of the older ones tell me about their baby brothers or sisters at home. They are all right about the age that kids are commonly spaced, so Aurelia has lots of other examples around her of friends with new babies at their homes. I think this will be a good thing. She is going to be one awesome big sis.
