Big Changes to Blog

Big Changes are occurring to this blog…it is moving from blogger.com software to wordpress software.  Expect hiccups.  I do hope to return to the original design if possible.

Just a couple more Christmas trip pics!

I had to include the picture of the aftermath of playing in the snow. After her hot cocoa, it only took a few minutes for her to crash in Aunt Tabitha’s lap.

While we were in TN, I found some fleece jammies on sale for $8, and decided it would be a good investment for my parents’ house, which is an older home that tends to be cold in some rooms. It turned out to be a good buy, and Mom actually got her another pair for the extra week and a half that she stayed with them in January. Oh, and she started doing forward rolls up and down the hall one afternoon. I’m not sure who got her started on this activity, but I had tried and tried to show her with no interest months before. Anyone claim this trick?

Wright Christmas – Obviously not Florida!!

I don’t remember exactly which day this was just before New Year’s Eve, but one day at my parents’ it started to snow. The temps were right around 30, so it was really pleasant to be out playing in the falling white stuff! Aurelia got suited up and we took to the woods! Above are my two youngest brothers who had already one out running miles and miles in the freezing weather that morning…

These pics are of Samuel with Aurie. He’s the oldest of my “little” bros. He is such a sweet uncle with Aurie and jumps at the chance to do just about anything with her when we are around. They had a good time exploring the “giant sticks” as she called it.

I just love the muddy booty shot!!

A smile and a lick before we go inside for cocoa.

Cathey Christmas

Here are finally some long-overdue pictures from our travels around Christmas time. These are just a few pics to show some of the things that we did…

We took Marcus’ parents to the Opryland Hotel, which is so amazing during the holidays. Besides totally wearing themselves out and a little fight between Marcus and his dad on the way there, it was a successful trip. Aurelia loved “helping” grandpa by pushing his wheelchair. She received many stop-and-stares following by “Oh, so adorable, can I take a picture…etc.” with this activity.

Having fun with wild-man Lukas!
I finally got to do a bit of sewing, and submitted a chapter of my dissertation on the 23rd, so it was a productive as well as relaxing trip for me!!

“I DON’T LOVE YOU ANYMORE!”

Here is the face of a little girl who is not even 3 years old after declaring to her daddy, “YOU DON’T LOVE ME! I DON’T LOVE YOU ANYMORE!” This occurred after I instructed her to pick up the plastic grocery bags that she had strewn throughout the living room and she refused. Refusals of such nature result in counting to 3 and spanking, which I did with two swipes of the oven mitts which she had left strewn about the living room as well. When she first said it, I burst out laughing; but upon reflection, I got a little sad and decided to blog it. Oh, by the way, we don’t do anything with her hair…it just falls in ringlets all the time.
