3, 4, Open the door

Last night, Marcus was reading 1, 2 Buckle My Shoe to Aurelia. When they got the part about 3, 4 open the door, she hopped down from his lap and went into the living room. She started reaching for the shelf where we keep our keys, and asking for one. With key in hand, she returned to the book, and put the key in the knot-hole in the picture of the door. This book has a flap for the door that reveals a little chick who is peaking out of the hole. Poor little guy got a key in the eye!!

Pictures from a graduation party last weekend to come as soon as I can get them downloaded and then uploaded. :) Teaser: pigtails!

Mustard Face

Mmmm, mustard! We learned last night that she loves it! Marcus made fried potatoes, and she ate almost as many pieces as Mommy did with twice as much mustard. She kept asking for more. It is such a strong flavor for her to love. You never know what they will like. We also discovered that mustard on broccoli is really gross! She had to eat the “uncontaminated” ones.

A little later…

Chocaholic Alert! By the way, this girl LOVES chocolate. At the dinner we went to Sunday afternoon, they had an egg hunt. She collected several eggs and started figuring out how to open them. (Watching the older kids do it helps.) For the rest of the evening, every time I would so much as glance over at someone for a moment to talk, when I turned back, she had chocolate in her mouth!! She just kept eating and eating and eating candy. I suppose most kids do this, but this is her first time, so it was shocking to me. I finally got her attention and told her no. She was such a good girl and stopped. She actually brought me the last piece that she found instead of opening it.

There is chocolate on her dress and on her kimono bodysuit that she wore to play in. Anyone have a magic trick for making sure it comes out in the wash?

This is some serious business…

Later that evening, we went to have dinner with a conglomerate family from church. Aurelia, Kennedy, and Carson have such a good time playing together. The decided to do some digging in the sand shortly before we left. Aurelia and Kennedy got to take a bath together before they went home. They were all three soooo dirty!

Easter Sunday

Checking out her bucket on Easter morning.

Packing some eggs to-go.

Aurelia is so enamored with stickers right now, that is what we filled most of her eggs with.

Here is the complete ensemble. She is getting so big!
