Clean up, Clean up….Everybody do their share!

Aurelia is starting to get the concept of cleaning up after herself. She had an empty cup in the bedroom from Daddy putting her down the night before. I gave it to her and asked her to take it to the kitchen. A few minutes later, I went to check on the situation, looking along the path for the cup. She had put it into the sink! Good job! Then, I started to look for my orange juice that I was working on that was in an identical cup to the one she had “cleaned up.” I then realized that it was in the sink as well and the OJ was splashed all around inside the sink! She did a little extra, and I got a second cup of OJ.

She also likes to pick up books and put them on her shelf and place her tub toys in the hanging net in the bathtub. Well, the tub stuff works on nights that she agrees to get out. She will sit until her teeth or chattering and still refuse to get out of the water some nights. :)

This rest of this week will be a little crazy! I have a take-home exam that I received today that is due again on Friday, so that will keep my evening busy. I can’t wait to be totally done with classes at the end of this semester! Off to a meeting…

Gasparilla and Cooking

Wooo! I want to catch some beads!

Sitting on the curb, waiting for the parade to come. We waited about an hour from the time that it started to when it reached us – veeeeery long parade route!

Spicing up some beans with powdered ginger. We have to be careful, though, because she can twist off some lids. If anyone has some empties, send them my way for pretend cooking. I buy most of my spices in bulk these days…

We went to Tampa to visit our friends, Ryan and Leslie, and there happen to be a parade with pirates called Gasparilla occurring as well, so we went. Aurelia enjoyed the parade evidenced by her clapping of hands and holding her hands up high to ask for beads (the pirates like to hand out beads to random parade watchers).
