So,after a wonderful Thanksgiving week vacation,we are back at home which means back to work and to daycare for the little tyke. We went to Kissimmee to celebrate Thanksgiving with Sarah’s family. We got to see 3 out of 4 siblings, which isn’t too bad for getting our whole crew together. It was so nice to get to spend time with them! To make the deal even sweeter,we stayed in a pretty nice condo and got to spend 3 days in theme parks. On Wednesday,we went to the Holy Land Experience, which was very nicely done and interesting. I especially enjoyed the Scriptorium, which had a collection of Bible artifacts (scrolls, codexes,Gutenburg printings…all authentic). Also,Aurelia was able to fall asleep during the hour tour while we had some time with dim lights and soft music. Her sleeping is music to my ears!!
On Thursday and Friday,we went to Disney World –Epcot and Magic Kingdom, respectively. Aurie was a real trooper. The park was so busy we just couldn’t let her little feet touch the ground very much for concern of losing her. She is so fast that she would be lost in an instant. So,we passed her among the 8 adults, and each of them got their turn snuggling her and showing her the sites. She enjoyed some of the rides, especially Peter Pan. After sleeping in the Snuggli for a couple of hours, she woke up in time to see the light parade on our way out of the Magic Kingdom. It was so amazing to watch her reactions to the lights and sounds –she clapped and smiled and swayed to the music. I mostnly watched her and not the parade:).
She was so happy to be back in her domain on Saturday and Sunday. Now we have to go through the “detox”period where we get back into our routine and she has to get over having full attention of an adult every second of every day. The drop-off this morning was pretty difficult. She has had lots and lots of Mommy time this past week, especially since her little canines are trying to cut, causing her to be a little bit fussier and snugglier than usual.
I’ll try to get some pictures up sometime in the near future. Unfortunately,my sibs and parents took all of the Disney pics,so we will have to get them in order to post them!! Marcus and I had our hands pretty full at the time.
