Silly-ness

Check out this silly drama queen. Oh,swoon!

Learning to take care of baby. Sometimes “Baby”sleeps with Aurelia, and she gets carried around the apartment. I think it is so cute when I come into her room in the morning, and she is standing in her bed with baby waiting for me to pick them both up. So sweet.

One more quickie:Aurie has been eating like crazy lately! On Tuesday night, she ate dinner twice. We fed her before going to a restaurant, and she was begging for food the whole time. She ended up have quite a bit of rice, and some veggies on top of the full plate of food that she had already had at home. I think she is having a growth spurt. It will be very exciting to see how much she has grown at her next appointment (in late September).

A quick update…

Sorry for the lack of updates and photos, lately. Daddy is working on some videos that he will post sometime soon. The job search continues…Meanwhile,Aurelia is learning all sorts of new things. She is learning new words and new tricks every day.

Current word list:
Daddy (da da)
Shoe (something like “shuh”)
Banana (nana –actually means fruit of any kind)
All done
Bye bye
Hi
Noise something like meh? Which accompanies all requests –is that a word?
–Note Mommy is not on the list. Alas, she just runs up to me and latches on rather than asking…

New tricks!!!
Sliding all on her own –includes climbing the ladder and then getting her feet in front of her and pushing off. I was quite impressed to see this a couple of days ago. Of course,we monitor the climbing, but she is very sure-footed.

Shoe-obsessing. This girl loves, loves shoes. She tries to put on Mommy and Daddy’s shoes as well as her own. She will also carry her shoes around all afternoon until they have to taken away for her bath and then again for bed –under protest both times. Maybe she will be the fashionista of the family. It sure isn’t her momma!

Stacking cup. She figured out how to nest that set of multi-colored cups that fit inside one another. This happened at school, impressing her teacher. She said that figuring out the cups is “a 2 year-old skill”on her evaluation list. I was so proud of my smart little girl.

Signs:
More (aka I want it!)
Down
All Done
Please
Eat/Food
Bye
Milk
and imitating more but not doing them on her own yet.

I know that lists are not as fun as pictures and videos,so I’ll try to get some of those posted soon. I’ll go charge the camera battery right now, actually….
