Grandparents coming and possible pinkeye

So,this week has gone out with a bang…I have come down with an *eh-hem* intestinal issue, and Aurelia came home with another note about pinkeye in her classroom. She has a mosquito bite right next to her left eye,and it has gotten pretty swollen. We are beginning to wonder if there is more in-play than just the bite.

My parents are going to head down from IN tomorrow. I’m not sure when they will arrive, but I’m looking forward to their visit!! I always love to have visitors. Unfortunately, this coming week is not a good time for me to take full days off,so I will be going to work part of the time. Grandparents won’t mind having some alone time with Aurelia, right?

Pray for good health so that we can enjoy our company!

Chasing Squirrels

Last evening,we went for a family walk after supper. Aurelia was in the kitchen begging for food while I was cooking,so she ended up having an early dinner. Her method was pretty funny. She comes up to me and grabs my legs. Then, she points to her palm (signing “more,”aka “feed me more”) then lays down flat on the floor as if to say “I’m not moving until you feed me!”

Anyway,on this walk,we were over near the swings, and she spots a squirrel digging up nuts from the playground. She creeps forward to get a better look, and the little guy just keeps digging and then eating. Not until she approached to about 2 feet did he run up the tree to finish his acorn. She kept her eye on him for the longest time, even after he ran up the tree. I remember my little brother trying to catch squirrels. It is interesting that they are not so very afraid of toddlers. What would she do if she actually caught one??

“Zizizi!”

Aurelia is very cute, especially when she looks at you, cranes her head forward, and adamantly says “zizizizu!”As she did that this morning, she stood up,walked a few steps, turned around, motioned to me,walked into the living room as I followed, went straight to her shoes, picked her shoes up and handed them to me,and sat down and propped her feet up to accept her shoes. She really enjoys walking around outside. We didn’t go for a walk though. We got her dressed, put her shoes on,and I let Sarah take her to Baby Gator. Off to study for Dad!
