Okay, many of you probably didn’t even see the red shirt picture. I might pull it up so you can see, but for now…what do you think of the new picture on the left?
Oh, in case you were wondering, the picture on the left is based on this picture.

And here is the picture I had put there referred to in the last post.

Some of you may have noticed that I have been trying to make design changes to the blog. My latest effort, changing the picture on the left, was perhaps not my best change. (If it doesn’t look like a transparent picture of an Aurelia cutout, you don’t have a modern browser and should upgrade.) If anyone has a better picture in mind that they would like to see there, let me know. Even better, if you know how to manipulate the picture, do it and send it to me.You may have also noticed that I moved some items from the left to the right, changing this baby blog from being a 2 column blog to a 3 column blog. That took a few hours of reading to figure out how to do…I hope our friends appreciate it. I felt like the Friends list needed to be higher to get people’s attention. If anyone has some ideas or requests for the blog’s design, let me know.Ooh, now I know what I really don’t like about the photo on the left. It’s too much red. The blog is very pink/lavender/purple friendly, not so much on the red.
Today is an exciting day. Sarah’s mom is coming in this afternoon to visit for about a week. Sarah’s sister will be arriving tomorrow. We are all going to party down for Aurelia’s birthday – I’m so excited!! Also, I am looking forward to help with cooking and to having some time to scrapbook :).
In other news… I completed my qualifying exams on Thursday, which concluded with a 4-hour questioning session. I am now one biiiig step closer to completing my doctorate. Hooray! We are all glad that it is over. Once Marcus takes the FL Bar exam in July, the air in our apartment will be so much lighter, we won’t know what to do with it. I can’t wait!
We are going to celebrate Aurelia’s birthday on the 28th since Wednesday is in the middle of the week, and she’ll be going to bed right after church. If you think you will be coming, let us know. We sent an email to those we thought were nearby and might come, we have to notify a few other people whom we don’t have email addresses for.

Marcus and Aurelia with his sandcastle.
Sitting in the in-coming tide. This was a great tidal pool for her to splash in, but it starte getting a little turbulent by the time we left. She just loved the water! We were amazed. As you can imagine, after a little dinner and some milk from Mommy at the restaurant on the way out of town, she was asleep before we got much out of the parking lot and slept all the way home.
After at day of beautiful sunny skies, we drove home facing this thunderhead the whole time. We we just enough behind it to not get rained-on. Marcus and I enjoyed discussing the different shapes that we could make out.
I caught some of the fantastic lightning that was going on in the clouds in this shot. It was like a fireworks show during the ride home. God’s creation is so beautiful, whether on a bright sunny beach or in the cloudy skies.
