The challenge and excitement of cloth diapering.

Anyone who has talked to me in the past few months about this baby probably knows that we are planning to do cloth diapering. I’m very excited about getting the fitted diapers picked out in the next month or so. The one part of this that has been moving ahead swiftly is the diaper covers. Sue,my mother-in-law,has started diligently cranking out the most adorable little cover wraps. They are waterproof lined on the inside, but the outer layer is a soft fabric –no rubber pants on Mommy’s arm in the Florida summers! I think that they are sooooo adorable, and I can’t wait to see them in person. (The diaper covers are currently being constructed in Tennessee.)

Belly Progress

From the beginning,I thought it would be pretty interesting to take some photos in the same position so that I could track the “progression of the belly”as this baby grows. Here are some of the pictures that Marcus has taken of me so far…

The tummy at 6 weeks, soon after we discovered that we were pregnant. This tummy is normal me (without sucking in:) ).

The tummy at 11 weeks. I’m still wearing my normal jeans. Not much change, yet.

Now the bump is starting to show. This was taken on Sam’s wedding day,Dec 23,2006,around 16 weeks pg.

What a difference just a few weeks makes! This is me at 20 weeks with a full-blown bump.
We are halfway to seeing our new little baby.

Here is the belly at 24/25 weeks,(27 February) the day after the ultrasound pictures were taken. After I met Marcus for our late-lunch date that we’ve had this semester on Tuesdays,he said,“Wow,we need to take another picture. You have really grown!”I don’t realize it so much seeing it everyday, but that is quite a little egg-shaped belly right there. Sometimes I wonder if it’s a baby or a torpedo in there as much as I am carrying out in front!

We’re Having a Baby!!

Regardless of whether or not Marcus thinks that having a blog is sheep-y thing to do,it is an efficient way for us to get info and pictures to our family who is *sniff* so far away! Anyway, the reality that our little one’s arrival is swiftly approaching is starting to set in. I’m feeling anxious and excited about getting together all of the “gear”in the coming months and getting it all set up just in time to move, again. (Ugh) I have pictures of my growing belly that I will try to get posted soon, too. I am hoping to do a progression of the belly scrapbook page. Of course,I’ve already started on that! I have most of the pages laid out and ready to have photos added. Anyone with spare baby scrapbook stuff lying around, feel free to send it my way!
